Presentation
Build a printable catalog without changing the product record.
A sales channel needs a feed. A showroom, agent, or trade fair needs a PDF or HTML catalog in your brand. Catalog templates control presentation only.
A catalog is not a feed
Prices, titles, and attributes stay on the product. The template decides how a selected set is shown: logo, cover, HTML, and CSS. Changing a template does not update a store and does not send a channel. Use it when a person needs a branded document, and keep the channel for systems.
Example: a furniture showroom needs forty chairs in German, with price and image, and without drafts. The same template can be reused next month. Only the product selection changes.
How to design a template
- Open Catalog templates and create a template. Insert tokens for title, SKU, description, price, image, and an attribute loop.
- Inside the product loop, target an attribute by its stable code, not by a translated label.
- Logo and cover images accept PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF up to 1 MB. Images are embedded so an export can be opened offline.
- Use the live preview while you edit. Save the template, then choose it from the catalog studio.
Manufacturer and unit type are not built-in product fields. If your workspace defines them as attributes, the template token is the attribute code, for example the manufacturer attribute on the product.
How to export
- Open Catalog. Set the title, template, and language. Turn on the fields you want: title, SKU, description, price, images, and attributes.
- Choose products by sales channel, by category, or by hand. Select page takes the current search page. Clear empties the selection.
- Include unpublished products only for an internal review. A public catalog normally stays on published records.
- Preview, then print or save as PDF from the browser, or download a ZIP. The ZIP includes up to three verified raster images per product. Preview links expire after one hour.
- If an export continues in the background, resume it with the job id.
The catalog language translates labels and uses a product translation where one exists. A missing translation falls back to the default language. Do not edit a price inside the template to "fix" a showroom PDF. Change the product, then export again.
